There are seasons in life when everything feels cracked, fragile, and heavy. Yet even there—right in the middle of broken places—God is still planting beauty.

This art series was born out of my own journey. Each black and white flower stands alone, delicate against the rough, textured background—just like we often feel when walking through life’s hard places. And yet, God’s grace shines brightest in those very moments.

When I Was Weary

I remember one of those seasons vividly.

My kids were in high school—life was full of activities, ministry, parenting, and just keeping up with the busy rhythm. But inside, I was so very tired. My body ached. My energy was drained. I was trying to hold it all together, but some days, it felt like too much.

Then came the diagnosis: fibromyalgia.

Oddly enough, the diagnosis brought relief—not because it took away the pain, but because it gave me an answer. I wasn’t imagining things. My struggle had a name. And in that moment, God met me gently and whispered, "You’re not alone. I am here. I will carry you."

God didn’t remove the cracks, but He grew something beautiful right in the middle of them: deeper trust, slower rhythms, creative outlets, and quiet strength I didn’t know I had.

A Flower in the Cracks

“To all who mourn... He will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair.”Isaiah 61:3 (NLT)

Sometimes we wait for God to fix everything before beauty appears. But often, He plants His most precious blooms right in the broken ground. The cracks don’t scare Him. They become the very place where His glory grows.

Even When I Feel Weak

“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV)

When our strength runs out, His begins. His grace sustains us on the days we have nothing left to give.

Bent but Not Broken

“The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all.”Psalm 34:19 (NIV)

There are moments when we bend under the weight, but God holds us firm. The winds may blow, but His hands steady our hearts.

He Will Finish What He Started

“Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”Philippians 1:6 (NIV)

The brokenness is not the end of your story. God is still at work. And He always finishes what He begins.

💛 A Gentle Whisper to You Today:

Whatever cracks you’re standing on today — whether exhaustion, grief, uncertainty, or simply feeling fragile — let these flowers remind you:

🌼 God still plants beauty in broken places.

🌼 You are still growing.

🌼 He is not finished with you.

Where in your life is God quietly planting beauty, even if the ground still feels cracked?
