This will be my last blog post before surgery, and my heart is overflowing with gratitude. 💕

To every friend who has prayed, texted, or sent a thoughtful gift — thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your kindness has meant more than words can express. You have truly been the hands and feet of Jesus to me.

“I thank my God every time I remember you.”— Philippians 1:3

As I prepare for this next step, I rest in the unshakable truth that God has me. He has walked beside me through every chapter of life — the joyful, the difficult, and even the uncertain ones. Looking back, I can see His fingerprints everywhere.

“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”— Exodus 14:14

There have been times when I didn’t understand what was happening, yet God was still there — loving me, protecting me, and guiding me through it all. Life has been so good to me, not because everything has been easy, but because Jesus has been in it.

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him.”— Romans 8:28

If you’re reading this and you’re unsure about faith — maybe you’re even skeptical — I want to encourage you to take time to really explore who Jesus is. Look to reputable sources, study His words, and ask Him to reveal Himself to you. He truly loves you.

“You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart.”— Jeremiah 29:13

As we step into this Christmas season, my prayer for all of us is that we remember the best gift ever givenJesus. The One who came so we could have life, peace, and hope beyond measure.

“For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given…”— Isaiah 9:6
“Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!”— 2 Corinthians 9:15

I don’t know yet what my recovery will look like or when I’ll be writing again, but I have a deep peace knowing that God already knows every detail. He’s gone before me — and He’s with me still.

“You go before me and follow me. You place Your hand of blessing on my head.”— Psalm 139:5

This week, I spent some quiet time creating a few art pieces — each one a reminder that God sees me, knows me, and loves me.

The lion and the lamb painting especially speaks to my heart. It reminds me that God is the Lion — mighty, strong, and full of power — and I am the lamb, held safely in His care. He protects, comforts, and carries me close, just as Scripture says:

“For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand.”— Psalm 95:7

What peace it brings to know that the same God who rules the universe is the same God who gently holds us when we are weak or afraid.

“The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in His love He will no longer rebuke you,but will rejoice over you with singing.”— Zephaniah 3:17

So, until I write again — thank you for walking this journey with me, for your love, prayers, and encouragement. Please keep your eyes on Jesus.

He loves you.

He sees you.

And He holds you — always. 💛

With love and gratitude,

Pam

I really do LOVE you all!!

Thank you, Pam, for sharing your heart and your art, which we love, all of it. We've been praying for you daily for a long time, since we found out about your condition. We will continue. We surely hope to hear from you soon after your surgery. Maybe Chuck can fill us in so you can just rest and heel. I think we've been blessed to know you some 40 years now? Much, MUCH LOVE!!! Dan & Dani Martin
