Sunflowers & the God Who Walks With Me

Lately, I’ve been drawn to sunflowers.
I didn’t plan it.
I just noticed how they make me smile every single time. Their faces turned upward. Their bold color. Their quiet confidence. Something about them makes me want to look forward instead of back.
These sunflower images began with a photograph I took, and then I used AI to reimagine it in different ways. Watching one photo turn into something new has been such a joy for me.
Same sunflower, new perspective.
And honestly, it feels a lot like the season I’m in right now.
As I’ve been creating this sunflower art, I keep sensing a gentle reminder in my heart. God is with me. Not just in the big moments, but in the small ones too. In the things that quietly brighten my days.
Sunflowers don’t rush.
They don’t apologize for being bright.
They simply grow toward the light.
And that’s where I find myself these days. Learning again how to lift my eyes. Choosing hope. Trusting that even when I don’t see the whole picture, God does.
This blessing keeps coming to mind when I see them:
“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace.”Numbers 6:24–26
When I see sunflowers, I’m reminded that God’s face shines on me. That His presence brings peace. That joy and healing can exist together, even in ordinary moments.
So today, I’m choosing to notice the sunflowers.
To let them lift my heart.
To let them remind me that brighter days are not only ahead… they’re already here.
And if God uses something as simple as a sunflower to remind me He’s with me, I’ll gladly receive that gift 🌻 And remember... He is with YOU too... today! Right now... 🥰
Numbers 6:24-26 is my prayer for YOU and ME!
