Walking by Faith (But Constantly Tripping!)

You know that verse, “For we walk by faith, not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7)?
Well… let’s just say, some days my “walk” looks more like a wobbly toddler or this curly-haired little adventurer of mine — full of joy, determination, and the occasional (okay, frequent) stumble!
I recently saw a T-shirt that said, “Walking by faith, but constantly tripping” — and I laughed out loud. Because that is so me! I trust Jesus. I step out. I want to follow Him boldly.
But oh my, I sure manage to catch my spiritual shoelaces on every root and rock along the path!
But you know what? That’s okay. Because faith isn’t about a perfect, graceful stroll through life. It’s about keeping our eyes on Jesus, even when we trip. It’s about getting back up, brushing off the dust, and trusting that His hand is right there to steady us every single time.
This little character — with her wild curls, big glasses, and one foot confidently stepping out — reminds me that faith is a journey. A messy, beautiful, and sometimes clumsy journey. And God delights in every wobbly, trusting step we take toward Him.
So here’s to all of us who are “walking by faith and constantly tripping”… May we keep going, keep trusting, and keep giggling at ourselves along the way.
“The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand.” —Psalm 37:23–24

Oh my goodness, I so love this post (and can truly relate!!) 🩷😂🩷
