Come to Me… and Rest
Matthew 11:28
“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
Some days, I’m just so physically tired. These last few weeks have been that for me. I think my fibromyalgia has kicked in—and instead of pushing through, I’ve been learning to listen to my body. So I’ve been slowing down… resting… reading and writing a bit more. And in that stillness, I’ve found unexpected joy.
One of the sweetest gifts in this season has been creating art on my computer. There’s something about bringing beauty to life, even while curled up with a blanket and a cup of tea, that just lifts my spirit. It energizes me. It reminds me that even when I can’t “do” much, I can still create—and that’s enough.
And even though posting on my blog still feels a little scary (putting myself “out there” is not easy for me!), it has been so life-giving. I’ve met God in new ways while writing. I’ve felt His presence sitting with me, whispering encouragement, reminding me that He’s not disappointed in my slower pace. He simply invites me—Come.
So if today finds you weary too—physically, emotionally, or spiritually—I want to remind you what I’m learning all over again: Jesus sees you. You don’t have to hustle to be loved. You don’t have to “do” to be worthy. Just come.
There’s rest here. There’s grace. And there’s peace for your tired soul.
Love Ya,
Pam 🌻
