Well... First of all, I am so GRATEFUL for all your prayers and support. I am truly so BLESSED by all of you! 💛

This journey has been unexpected and overwhelming at times—like stepping into a story I didn’t see coming. And yet, even in the swirl of scans and specialist appointments, I have felt covered… not by fear, but by peace.

I now know the tumor is called a meningioma, located just behind my right ear. The Dr. believes it is benign, which is a word I cling to like a promise. Surgery is ahead, and yes, there are questions still unanswered. But God… oh how faithful He’s been to settle my heart when I wake up in the night wondering.

This week, I go in to get my labs done—checking one more box on the long to-do list of pre-surgery steps

And… okay, I have to share this little moment at the neurosurgeon’s office—because it made me laugh! He was explaining the surgery and said they’ll need to remove a piece of my skull and replace it with a titanium plate (YIKES, right?). And without missing a beat, I asked, “Wait… does that mean I’m going to set off every security scanner now?

”He smiled and said, “Yes. And I’ll give you a card for that.”

HAHA—so now I’m officially bionic.

In the quiet moments—like the one captured in the watercolor above, with my Bible open and coffee close—I am reminded that I am not alone. God is here. Right here. In the stillness. In the uncertainty. In every breath.

I’m learning that peace doesn’t mean everything is fixed. Sometimes, it just means knowing you are being held.

So, this is me… holding peace and holding on to Jesus.

And YOU—my dear friends—are part of that peace too. Your kind words, messages, and prayers have been like warm cups of comfort to my soul.

I promise to keep sharing updates as I walk through this, one day at a time. Thank you for walking it with me.

Verse that’s been holding me:

“You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in You, all whose thoughts are fixed on You.”—Isaiah 26:3 (NLT)

With love and hope,

Pam (aka your bionic blog buddy 🤖💛)

Hi Pam! Your neurosurgeon story made me smile! That is literally the same question that I asked when I had titanium clips placed in my head for a giant aneurysm that nearly took my life! I travel a lot and I have never set off the metal detectors! :) Blessings on your journey! Greg & I are praying for you & Chuck every day! Pauline

Hi Pam…

I happened your blog in May on Facebook when you wrote about giving up your Disney pass. Your words that day touched my heart. The other day I came upon your blog where you first shared about your tumor. It took my breath away… Yet in the words to follow I saw your faith and hope in our Lord and Savior lived out with such peace, grace and vulnerability. You are an amazing example and an inspiration to live out each moment to the fullest. Love, hugs and prayers from me and my family ~ Amy

I am praying for you Pam. We met once at the Coffee House. We shared how we both liked Bible journaling and Disneyland. I went to a conference at your church, and you spoke, and it really touched my heart. The worship did too. The Lord is not finished with you yet! Thanks for sharing your journey with us.♥
