🌱 Rooted in the Cross

The image is simple, yet deeply moving—a wooden cross, standing tall in a small, twine-wrapped pot of earth. Fresh green blades of grass surround its base, and the light of the sun pours over it like a promise. And in that moment, a whisper from heaven seems to rise:

New life begins where the cross is planted.

Jesus didn’t come to decorate our lives; He came to transform them from the inside out. Like a seed hidden in dark soil, His sacrifice seemed small—quiet, buried, even overlooked by many. But from that moment of surrender came the greatest harvest of all: resurrection life.

When our hearts are rooted in Christ, growth is inevitable. It may not be instant. It may not be flashy. But it will be real. Deep. Eternal.

Maybe your season right now feels small. Or buried. Maybe you feel like you’re in the dirt. But friend, God does some of His most beautiful work in the soil of surrender. Let your soul stretch its roots toward the cross, and let His light awaken something new in you.

Don’t rush the process. The roots grow first—then the fruit.

🌿 Scripture to Reflect On:"Let your roots grow down into Him, and let your lives be built on Him. Then your faith will grow strong..."—Colossians 2:7 (NLT)

šŸ•Š Prayer:Jesus, thank You for the cross—the place where life begins. Help me to root myself in You, even when things feel small or unseen. I trust You are growing something beautiful in the soil of my life. Let my faith be strong and deep. Let my soul flourish in Your light. Amen.

I love that image. I was in the garden today checking some succulents I am growing to give to friends. I had to pluck out some weeds. Makes me think how our Father waters us and pulls our our weeds too! Have a great week!
