Today’s Vibe: A Little Droopy, Still Rooted

There are days when I feel exactly like this sunflower.
Not bright and standing tall.
Not perfectly turned toward the sun.
Just… a little wilted. A little tired. A little over it.
And today?
Yep… it’s one of those days.
I woke up already feeling behind, my body still healing, my brain a little foggy, and even the simplest things felt heavier than they should. You know those days? Where nothing is wrong exactly… but everything feels like too much?
That’s today.
And if I’m being really honest… I haven’t shared much lately. It’s been a while since I’ve written here.
I’m still healing from my brain surgery… and recently, I was diagnosed with shingles too (which I can now officially say… is NOT fun 😂).
So my body is doing a lot of behind-the-scenes work right now… even when it doesn’t look like much on the outside.
Maybe that’s part of why today feels like this sunflower.
A little droopy.
A little worn.
Still trying to face the light.
But here’s what I love about this sunflower…
Even though it’s drooping…
Even though its petals are curling and tired…
It’s still beautiful.
Still vibrant.
Still rooted.
Still exactly what it was created to be.
It didn’t lose its color just because it had a hard day.
And maybe… neither have I.
And maybe… neither have you.
Sometimes we think we have to be strong, joyful, creative, productive… all the time.
But what if grace looks like this instead?
Soft.
Slow.
A little messy.
Healing.
Resting.
Held.
Today, I’m choosing to let this be enough.
To rest a little more.
To move a little slower.
To maybe create something small and fun… even if it’s imperfect.
Because healing isn’t a straight line…It’s more like a sunflower that occasionally needs to bow its head.
And maybe tomorrow… we lift again ☀️
What does your “droopy sunflower day” look like?
Where can you give yourself a little more grace today?
What is one small, gentle thing you can do just for joy?
“The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and He helps me.”
– Psalm 28:7

Sending you lots of love and prayers!
