JOY in the trash bin...

Today I lived out James 1:2: "Count it all joy, my brothers and sisters, when you meet trials of various kinds..."
HAHA! Well, my “trial” this morning hit me with a jolt—I opened my phone to check on my brand new blog, and to my horror... my three freshly written posts were GONE! In their place? The default, generic posts the site started with.
At first, I thought maybe I hadn’t made my site mobile-friendly and it just looked weird on my phone. No big deal, right? So I hopped on my computer to double-check. And yep—same thing. Gone. Vanished. Like they never existed.
Let’s just say... I freaked out a little. Okay, a lot. I even posted about it on Instagram and Facebook—before I even tried to fix it! (Oops. Sorry if you saw that panic post. HA!)
Then I remembered something important: panicking never fixes anything. So I took a breath, reminded myself to count it all JOY even in tech disasters, and went to work.
And guess what? Once I calmed down and asked the Lord for help, I actually started enjoying the learning process. (Who even am I?!) I was so grateful for the AI-generated help on the site—it guided me step by step. And where were my blog posts? In the TRASH! What?! I didn’t even know that was a thing!
So... I rescued my posts and kicked those generic ones to the curb. WHEW! Crisis averted.
Now I’m just hoping they don’t decide to jump back into the trash tonight. HAHA!
But seriously—have you ever totally freaked out before remembering that God is still in control? Yeah… me too. And most of the time, freaking out first doesn’t really help.
Today reminded me (again!) that I need to PRAY before I react. I prayed through James 1:2 and felt peace. Real peace. I was ready to start over if I had to. And that, in itself, was a huge blessing.
I’m grateful. I’m joyful. And I’m praying I’ll remember this the next time life throws a little digital curveball my way.
This was me… BEFORE I checked my blog. Full of sunshine and smiles. 😄🌻

And this was me 10 seconds later when I saw all my blog posts were gone. 😩🥀

But then… JOY came in the learning, the peace came in the process, and the blog was resurrected from the trash! 🙌💻🌸 PRAISING JESUS NOW!!
